Wife, Mother, Candle Maker

It is 10:19 PM as I start this adventure of blogging about my life as a wife, mother and candle maker. Just saying that makes me think of that old children's rhyme about the butcher, the baker and the candle stick maker. Although I have no idea what that rhyme means, but does anybody really know what all those old nursery rhymes mean that are taught over and over...anyway I digress.

So for anyone that knows me, they know that I love being busy. I love hobbies and making things with my hands. I have dabbled in so many that my husband is allowing me to have a complete little "Craft Room" off to the side of our new house that is almost in the process of being built. (Man that is a loooonnnggg process) so when I kind of stumbled across candle making it really just seemed to be a good fit.

I have a 2.5 month old baby girl (named Kathryn after my best friend) and as many hobbies are very consuming candle making is something that I can do during the day while she is napping and at night while my husband is taking care of her.

Why do I love it?

- I love that I am using 100% soy wax because it is a product that is sustainable and grown here in the USA.

- I love that these candles create LIGHT! (I remember as a child going to Christmas Eve services at church and one person starting with one lit candle and passing that flame on to the next person and until the entire church in hushed silence just sat in the full glow of the flame)

- I love that I get to create unique scents.

- Mostly I love that these candles will bring joy and happiness to not only the people that are buying them.

All right well it is now 10:56 PM and I haven't even loaded all the pictures of the candles to the website yet. I hope that if you chose to buy one or some that you will be as blessed enjoying them as I was making them.

Letting my light shine,

Grace
